REVEAL YOUR ROMANTIC SIDE THIS VALENTINE’S DAY

Chalk it up to another Hallmark holiday to give us yet another excuse to dress and look our very best. Is there a better time to break out that cute outfit than Valentine’s Day? I don’t think so! Whether you’re going out on a romantic date with your sweetheart or hitting the town with your besties, here are five tips to knock your look out of the ballpark.

Proper exfoliating is the key for smooth, soft, touchable skin. I use a gentle scrub like Enza Essential’s Shea Butter Body Polish – it makes me feel like I just stepped out of an extravagant spa. Your special guy will be singing his own version of “Reach out and touch, somebody’s hand.”

Moisturize for even softer skin. Immediately after showering, apply a heavy moisturizer to reenergize your dry and thirsty skin. I like my Enza Essential’s Shea Body Butter which keeps my skin feeling fresh all night long!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE CLASSY AND FASHIONABLE KATE, DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE

It didn’t take long for the public to see why Kate Middleton caught the eye of Prince William. Her signature looks and personal style definitely stand out from the crowd. So what’s her fashion and beauty secret? Perfectly fitting clothes and her determination to stay true to what looks great on her. Here are some of Kate’s spot-on fashions.

Modern Take on Lace. Think lace is outdated? I don’t think so! Kate completely stuns in this fitted black lace gown. All I can say is, where is the red carpet? She definitely fits in with the Hollywood elite.

Timeless Elegant Classic. Entirely gorgeous in this flowing teal formal, Kate knows how to steal the show. And her sophisticated up-do hairstyle and glowing skin? A perfect combination for the evening.

Royal and Refined. The English love their hats – from the funky and outrageous to the trim and graceful. Kate looks every bit the distinguished princess in this subtle but stunning ensemble in blush pink.

Casual Denim Chic. Could Kate look any cuter running everyday errands? She really puts my yoga pants to shame. This casual blazer paired with skinny jeans is ultra chic. Plus the fashionable wedges tie the whole outfit together.

Brilliant Use of Bold Colors.  Kate knows exactly what colors flatter her skin tone. Whether donning sapphire blue, jade green or coral pink, her preference for bright colors is legendary. And who could blame her?

DAZZLE IN GOLD THIS NEW YEARS EVE

Have you found that stunning and striking outfit to ring in 2016? As much as I love the classic black dress with a red lip, I decided to switch it up this year with a cream and gold sequin dress. Still gorgeous AND sporting some sparkle – an absolute must for New Years Eve!

I love the softness of the cream chiffon skirt paired with glamorous gold sequins. Not only is it an elegant color combination, the fitted top creates a super flattering look!

Strappy nude sandals are the perfect complement to the neutral-toned dress. Not too flamboyant – just a timeless and classic look.

For the most kissable lips, I used Jane Iredales Tangerine Lip Gloss, a shiny yet subtle lip color. This is a definite must-apply right before the ball drops!

And before heading out for the night, add a light layer of Enza Essentials Liquid Gold to your face prior to applying concealer and powder. You deserve to treat yourself to a little bit of luxury this special night.

HOLIDAY HAIRSTYLE: FUN AND FESTIVE BOWS

Bows are not just for presents anymore! No matter your hair type, curly or straight, thick or thin, a bow could be the perfect addition to that fantastic holiday outfit! Keep reading to see my four favorite holiday bow hairstyles.

Soft curls (aka Victoria Secret Angel locks) are a gorgeous look for any holiday party. For this style, I used my curling wand and brushed out the curls to create these cascading waves. Once I had the curls set, I teased the hair around my face and then pulled it all back with the bow.

A sleek side do is always a great go-to holiday hairstyle. All you have to do is add a few soft curls to your hair, pull it to the side, and clip the bow right above your hairband. Super simple!

Want a more formal look? Try a high bun with a bow! Start by teasing the top of your hair to create more volume. Then, tilt your head upside down and make a messy bun. If you notice a few loose strands, tame them with hairspray and then top it off by clipping a medium sized bow just below the bun.

For a super simple and quick hairstyle, I love pulling back one side of my hair in a bow. For this, a smaller bow works best so it doesn’t over do the look.

EIGHT THINGS “BEAUTY” I’M THANKFUL FOR

 

Sister. I love having a sister and couldn’t be more grateful for the friendship we share. We’ve always been super close. Plus, having a second closet to choose from when deciding what to wear is the best feeling ever! Did I also mention I’m thankful for her sharing abilities?!

Curling Wand. Having naturally curly hair is both a blessing and a curse. You never quite know how your curls are going to look in the morning. I can’t tell you how many times my curling wand has saved the day!

Coffee. When it comes to those unbearable 8 a.m classes, coffee is a god send. Not only does it make me appear more human, it acts as my most fashionable accessory on days when I’m rocking yoga pants and an over-sized sweatshirt.

Perfume. Silly I know, but smelling good just makes me happy. I love spraying on my own special scent in the morning or before heading out on that special date!

Enza Products. I’m so grateful for ALL of my Enza Products and for the confidence they have given me to put my best face forward every day. Pimple free equals a happier me!

Shoes. I seriously can’t have enough shoes. Buying a new pair of shoes is like sampling Godiva Chocolates for the first time. Excitement takes over and nothing can stop you from indulging!

Chapstick. I hate to admit it, but I’m a more-than-occasional lip licker. End result… dry, irritated lips. Thank you chapstick for bringing back my smile!

Parents. I’ve learned so much from them over the years. One of the most important life lessons they have taught me, that I believe to be true, is that beauty starts from the inside. A kind, compassionate heart is a beautiful heart!

THE REAL WINNERS OF 2015 EMMYS: BEST IN BEAUTY

As you all know, the 2015 Emmy’s aired on Sunday night and the red carpet looked hotter than ever! From bold hues to gorgeously embellished frocks (Hello, Kerry Washington!), the beauty was ultra glamorous and chic. Although it was difficult, I’ve narrowed down my 4 favorite looks from the night:

Taylor Schilling

The Orange is the New Black star looked beautiful in this canary yellow gown and short lob. And that red lip color? FABULOUS! I’m obsessed! It looks perfect with her radiant skin. After all, great skin is the best accessory you can bring to an award show.

Emma Roberts

Oh my bombshell! Emma looks stunning with her long, blonde curls swept off to the side paired with this elegant dress. And honestly, I don’t think her skin can get much more perfect – I can’t stop staring! I love how natural she kept her makeup with the dark lashes and rosy lip. Speaking of her lips, they look super hydrated and soft! To get my lips looking like Emma’s, I use my lip treatment every single night before bed. My lips have never been softer!

Sarah Hyland

This was by FAR my favorite dress of the evening – the color and style were both seriously on fleek. Sarah’s hazel eyes look gorgeous with this metallic shadow and natural lip. By the way, can her hair get any cuter?! She’s making me want to chop off my locks. I’m noticing a bright skin trend on the red carpet – how about you? Remember, vitamin C is key to getting that bright, glowing complexion like Sarah’s.

Kerry Washington

Obviously, the Scandal star makes my top 4 best beauty looks list. Kerry looks so pretty! I’m loving this faux lob with auburn highlights – it’s perfect for fall! She looked like a princess in this super embellished gown. I also like the pop of color her lips bring to her entire look. I read that Kerry uses a cleanser, toner, and eye gelee every single morning and night to keep her skin flawless.

SUMMER STYLE OBSESSIONS

I must admit – I’ve been LOVING the trends and styles that are happening this summer! Celebs and fashion bloggers alike have been on point with their clothing choices these last few months. Take a look to see which styles I’ve narrowed down as my favorites!

Printed shorts are ALWAYS a good idea. Paired with a simple top and casual shoes, shorts with a pattern or print have been trending this summer and I’m completely okay with it! The best part? Shorts are soooo comfy.

Another favorite of mine this summer are backless dresses. Nothing adds chicness quite like an exposed back which is why I’m loving these pieces. Did you see my Bit of Pink OOTD last week with my open-back dress? I’m obsessed.

Crop tops have seriously made a mark in the fashion world lately and I’m not complaining one bit! A total summer style, crop tops can be paired with just about anything. Shannon of Upbeat Soles looks fabulous in this burgundy cropped tee and high-waisted jeans.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve definitely hopped on the slides train this summer and it makes me so happy! Slide sandals are a perfect alternative to the average flip flop and honestly are so much comfier. It’s a win-win!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – floppy hats are the greatest things ever invented. Not only do they look beyond amazing, but they protect your skin from sun damage (don’t forget SPF) and hide second day hair, too! Just throw one on when you hit the beach, run errands downtown, or have lunch with the girls.
