3 BEAUTY PRODUCTS YOU NEED

ZDS_1308

By now, you probably have your favorite beauty products lined up on your vanity that you consistently use on the regular. We all do! But, sometimes we need a little extra guidance in the beauty department, so I’ve come up with a list of 3 beauty products that you NEED to start using.

Toner.

ZDS_1309

If this product isn’t in your morning and evening skin care routine, what have you been doing?! The truth about toner is quite simple – you need it. Not only does it wipe away dirt, oil and makeup that you didn’t totally clean off your face, but it brightens and balances your skin too. And we all could use a little more balance in our lives, right?

Lip Scrub.

Everyone wants soft and kissable lips, so why not invest in an amazing lip scrub? Your lipstick will go on smoother and your pout will look more plump – it’s a win-win! I’m obsessed with my Sugar & Butter Lip Exfoliator/Plumper from Jane Iredale. My lips feel like heaven after I use it!

Dry Shampoo.

Not only does this fabulous beauty product cut down on your getting-ready time, but it also is much better for your hair! Did you know that you’re supposed to wash your locks every OTHER day, not every day?? Dry shampoo helps savor your color, volume, and the strength of your strands – you definitely want to invest in this stuff.

BEAUTY DIY: LIP SCRUB

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, you want your lips to look and feel their absolute best. In honor of the kissing holiday, I’ve found a super simple DIY lip scrub from The Beauty Gypsy and am so excited to try it out!

The key to a soft, smooth pout is exfoliation. Just like you exfoliate your skin, you need to slough off any dead and dry skin cells from your lips too! This will make your lipstick, gloss, or balm look better. Here’s what you need:

  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

Combine these 3 ingredients in a small jar until thoroughly mixed.

After you’ve mixed the ingredients together, scoop a dollop (make sure to get plenty of the brown sugar) with your finger onto your lips. Gently massage the scrub in a circular motion all over your lips for a minute or two. And don’t worry if you get any in your mouth – this recipe is great because all of the ingredients are edible!

After exfoliating, wipe mixture off with a fresh towel and follow up with Enza’s Lip Treatment  for an extra collagen boost.

Now, apply your favorite lip color (mine is Jane Iredale’s PureMoist Lipstick in Margi) and you’re ready for Valentine’s Day!
