REVEAL YOUR ROMANTIC SIDE THIS VALENTINE’S DAY

Chalk it up to another Hallmark holiday to give us yet another excuse to dress and look our very best. Is there a better time to break out that cute outfit than Valentine’s Day? I don’t think so! Whether you’re going out on a romantic date with your sweetheart or hitting the town with your besties, here are five tips to knock your look out of the ballpark.

I’m a sucker for wearing red on Valentine’s Day. Red clothes, red lips, red nails – you name it! I just love how festive it is for the holiday. Here’s what I’ll be wearing out on date night!

The best part about this outfit is that if it’s too cold, I can simply throw on a pair of black tights for some warmth and added style points!

I bought this High-Waisted Bodycon Pencil Skirt at Charlotte Russe a few months ago for SUPER cheap. It’s always a good idea to have a black skirt in your closet!

It’s Wednesday, Beauties! I cannot believe we’re halfway through the week already. In honor of Hump Day, I want to share with you all what I’m currently LOVING this week:

I’m still obsessing over Taylor’s look at the Grammys this past Sunday night – she’s flawless! This blue dress paired with those fuchsia heels are everything. Her hair and makeup stunned the crowd as well. Love it!

Fresh flowers at the office? Yes, please! Nothing brightens up a room and boosts attitudes like a bouquet of flowers. Our aesthetician Melissa received these beauties from her fiance Joe for Valentine’s Day – SWOON!

What do I love on a Wednesday? Red lips! Actually, I love red lips every day. I’ll definitely be wearing this Jane Iredale PureMoist Lipstick in Margi on my Valentine’s Day date night. This color is so classic and chic, it’s the perfect go-to color for any occasion!

When I watch The Bachelor each week, I obsess over Britt more and more. She’s the cutest human being alive! Chris and her are OBVIOUSLY hitting it off, most likely because of her super sweet personality and fabulous, flowing hair. I’m rooting for you, Britt!

SKIN PREP FOR VALENTINE’S DAY

Valentine’s Day is getting so close that I can almost smell the oversized chocolate hearts and bouquets of red roses – it’s only 4 days away! If you’ve got a date with your significant other or hitting the town with your girls, it’s a must to have your skin V-Day ready. Here’s how I’ll be prepping my skin for the big night!

To look fabulous for the day of love, it’s super important to rid off dead cells that have built up on your skin. That’s exactly why the night before Valentine’s Day, I’ll be using my Extraction Enzyme Peel to brighten my complexion. I simply apply a thin layer all over my skin and leave it on for 15 minutes. This is the perfect amount of time for me to narrow down a few outfit choices too!

Soft skin is ideal for any day of the year, but it’s definitely a necessity for Valentine’s Day. Enza Essentials Shea Butter Body Polish is the perfect exfoliant to use on your skin from head to toe. And it smells AMAZING! I use a Magic Mitt from Jane Iredale to apply the Body Polish in the shower. Remember to follow up immediately with the Shea Body Butter for your most touchable skin yet.

This specific holiday falls in the dead of winter and unfortunately, that means dry, stressed skin. I want my makeup to have a dewy and fresh look, so I’ll be applying Liquid Gold under my foundation. This product seriously hydrates and rejuvenates skin, while working as a fantastic makeup primer. I can’t live without it!

Now it’s time to give my pout a little TLC! Jane Iredale has a super amazing Sugar&Butter Lip Exfoliator/Plumper that works wonders on dry lips. I first use the sugar exfoliant side to get rid of any dead skin, then use the plumper side for a boost of volume and a tingly feel. I’ll finish off with Enza’s Lip Treatment for the most kissable and hydrated lips ever!

NEVER GO OUT OF STYLE WITH RED LIPS

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, a red lip is ALWAYS in style. Here’s a short video showing you several different Jane Iredale red lip colors – enjoy!

BEAUTY DIY: LIP SCRUB

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, you want your lips to look and feel their absolute best. In honor of the kissing holiday, I’ve found a super simple DIY lip scrub from The Beauty Gypsy and am so excited to try it out!

The key to a soft, smooth pout is exfoliation. Just like you exfoliate your skin, you need to slough off any dead and dry skin cells from your lips too! This will make your lipstick, gloss, or balm look better. Here’s what you need:

• 1 teaspoon honey
• 1 teaspoon brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon olive oil

Combine these 3 ingredients in a small jar until thoroughly mixed.

After you’ve mixed the ingredients together, scoop a dollop (make sure to get plenty of the brown sugar) with your finger onto your lips. Gently massage the scrub in a circular motion all over your lips for a minute or two. And don’t worry if you get any in your mouth – this recipe is great because all of the ingredients are edible!

After exfoliating, wipe mixture off with a fresh towel and follow up with Enza’s Lip Treatment  for an extra collagen boost.

Now, apply your favorite lip color (mine is Jane Iredale’s PureMoist Lipstick in Margi) and you’re ready for Valentine’s Day!
