IS YOUR CELL PHONE GIVING YOU WRINKLES?

Today, as I was walking to class, I glanced up from my smart phone and I seriously couldn’t believe how many people were staring down at their smart phones! I have to admit, though, I’m guilty of this too. Whether I’m checking my email, searching the web, browsing through Pinterest, etc., my phone acts as my personal crutch.

Lets face it, cell phones have become THEE way of communicating in society. But, did you know every time you stare down at that little screen, you increase your chance of developing dreaded lines and creases around your eyes? Yikes! Screens on mobile devices tend to be smaller than computer screens, so we are more likely to squint while reading messages or browsing through our phones.

Most of the fine lines and wrinkles that appear on our skin are a result of movement that happens regularly. Over time, the lines that are initially temporary become permanent. To prevent this, you can try using a product that contains peptides and antioxidants like Enza Essentials Tri-Peptide Cell Activator. This can reduce those wrinkles and keep skin looking smooth!

Our cell phones aren’t going away anytime soon, so be prepared with the right products!

MY BEAUTY RESOLUTIONS: CHECK IN

Where oh where did January go?! I cannot believe that tomorrow is the last day of the month – time really does fly when you’re having fun! Exactly one month ago I made 5 beauty resolutions for 2015 and I know you’re all curious if I’m ACTUALLY sticking with them or not. Here’s a quick update on my beauty resolutions thus far:

Washing my face every morning and night. I must admit, I’ve been pretty fabulous at this one in 2015 so far! I absolutely hate going to bed with makeup on, so it’s easy for me to stick to this resolution. I always have my Extraction Cleanser by my side morning and night, and if I go somewhere for the evening, I always remember to pack it. Resolution #1, check!

Exfoliating regularly. I’ve gotten into such a habit of exfoliating 3 times per week so I’m pretty much killing this resolution! Honestly, I can’t even tell you how much I look forward to using my Fine Facial Polish after a long day. It gives me an instant glow and my foundation always goes on smoother and looks better the next day.

Keep hydrated. Some days are harder than others to drink my 8 glasses of water a day, but I’m doing very well so far! I always have my water bottle next to me at all times and I chug a glass of water before bed for some overnight hydration benefits.

Use an eye cream. This one could still use a little improvement. Even though I apply my Eyebright Intensive Eye Creme at least once a week, I could be using it more often. But hey, everyone has to start somewhere, right? They key to anti-aging is prevention, so every little bit helps.

Keep cell phone at a distance. I have actually started wiping down my phone screen every few days with a microfiber cleaning cloth which REALLY helps cut down on the germs. Also, I’ve been talking on speaker phone much more frequently. I haven’t had any new blemishes on my cheeks since I’ve started this resolution, so I’m definitely going to stick with it!

MY BEAUTY RESOLUTIONS FOR 2015

New Year’s Eve is tomorrow and you know what that means – everyone will be setting EXTREME goals for themselves that will last for approximately 8 and a half days and then they’re gone. The key to New Year’s Resolutions is being realistic, and I have a few beauty resolutions that I know I can achieve and stick with, and my skin will thank me.

Resolution #1: Cleansing my face every single morning and night. This is SUPER important for the overall health and appearance of my skin because I want my pores to be clean of dirt, bacteria, makeup, and whatever else collects on my skin throughout the day and night. I’ll be using my Enza Essentials Extraction Cleanser in 2015!

Resolution #2: Start using eye cream. Your 20’s are a perfect time to begin applying an eye cream to the delicate skin around your eyes to prevent fine lines and wrinkles from magically showing up out of the blue. Enza Essentials Eyebright Intensive Eye Creme smooths and hydrates the skin surrounding your eyes and helps prevent any signs of early aging.

Resolution #3: Exfoliate 3 times per week. Who wants dead skin cells collecting in their pores?? Not me! That’s why I’ll be exfoliating 3 times per week throughout 2015, using my Fine Facial Polish. Another bonus of exfoliating regularly? My foundation will go on better and look smoother.

Resolution #4: Drink more water. Over the holiday season, I have to admit that I didn’t consume as many glasses of water as I should have. That’s exactly why in 2015 I’ll redeem myself (and my skin!) by indulging in 8 glasses a day.

Resolution #5: Don’t hold my cell phone against my cheek. This one is going to be VERY difficult for me, but I know I can do it! Here’s the issue – we touch our cell phones all day long. It’s a simple fact. So, when you go to answer that phone call from Mom and rest the phone against your skin, all of the nasty things that are on your hands and fingers were transferred onto your phone, and then onto your skin. My cheeks are notorious for zits and I know my cell phone has A LOT to do with it. Looks like speaker phone it is for 2015!
